What file formats do you accept?

We prefer to receive Photoshop PSD files, with all the layers for your site.  This makes it easiest for us to understand and slice your site. 

However, if you can not provide a Photoshop PSD file we do accept the following:

1. Fireworks PNG
2. Illustrator AI
3. PDFs, JPG/JPEGs or TIFF
4. GIF (preferably a last resort option)

How many developers work at Slice’n Code?

We are a husband and wife team.  We have been building and designing websites for over 5 years.  We are experts in both XHTML and CSS.

What are your hours?

We work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm Eastern.  Sometimes weekends too, but weekends are not included in the “turnaround” time of your project.

How does this “3 day turnaround” really work?

Once your 50% deposit is made, we will get started on your site (as long as it’s a weekday.  Our turnaround time does not include weekends).  Within 3 business days we will email you back with a zip file which contains all the sliced images, CSS and XHTML files that you’ll need to get your site up and running.

Please note: this time does not include revisions. Depending on the types of revisions you need, the turnaround time could be extended but we will let you know immediately. 

Can you design and code a website for me?

Most definitely.  Contact us for examples of our design work as well as a custom proposal for your project.

Dude.  I need my site done yesterday!  Do you do rush orders?

We do have a rush order fee and can provide a 1 day turnaround.  Please contact us for more details and pricing.

I have a multiple page site.  Do you offer discounts?

We sure do.  Please let us know when you order how many pages you need in addition to the main page.  We will than email you back with a custom quote for all the pages you need completed. 

Where can I find examples of your work?

Contact us and we will provide you with a link to our online portfolio of work.

Can you convert my table-based website into CSS?

We can definitely do that.  Contact us with the specifics regarding your site and we’ll get you out a custom proposal.

Can you guys integrate my design into my blog platform?

Absolutely. We provide integration for the following platforms:

3. Movabletype
4. Blogger

Does your code include comments?

We try to include comments where possible so that is is easier for you to figure out where things are and what you need to do to implement your content into the structure of the site.  If you need additional assistance regarding what to do with the files that we send you, please let us know and we can provide you with a custom quote for the additional work.

What will I receive back from you?

1. XHTML File
2. CSS File
3. Sliced Images
4. Read Me File with any additional information

These files will be zipped and delivered to you via email.

My site needs some custom scripting? Is that included?

Only XHTML and CSS is included.  If you need any special effects or scripts, please make sure you let us know when you place your order.  We will than provide you with a custom quote. 

When is payment due?

After you submit your order we will send you an invoice.  We require a deposit of 50% in order to begin slicing your site.  The sooner you make the 50% payment, the sooner we will start on your project.  Once you receive the zip files for your site the remaining 50% balance is due.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Our preferred method of payment is Paypal. All major credit cards are accepted through Paypal and it’s also fast and secure.  We recommend using Paypal because the faster we get your payment the faster we can start on your project. 

We also accept payment via check or money order.  If you make payment via check or money order we will not be able to start on your project until payment is received.

All prices are in USD.  No other form of currency is accepted.

What is your refund policy?

All work is nonrefundable. In certain circumstances a developer may issue a credit.  But this is at the sole-discretion of the developer.

What browsers do you test my website on?

Your website is tested in IE6, IE7, IE8, Firefox, Safari, Opera and Google Chrome. Your site will be compatible with these browsers.

Do you support other browser?

The price you pay includes only those browsers listed above.  If you need a solution for another browser, please let us know when you contact us.  There might be an additional charge for this option.

Do you have a backup of my sliced site?

While we do keep backup files we can not guarantee that those files will be available.  It is your responsibility to backup your data.  Once we send you the files for your site, please make sure you keep them in a secure and safe place.

Will you share my information with anyone?

Never.  Once you submit your information to us, it is kept confidential and secure.  We will never share or sell your information to anyone.

Will your company name appear on my website?

No.  Your secret is safe with us We will never add any of our information (link/contact info/anything) to the code we provide to you.
